Weger GmbH has been selling its air handling unit ranges in the UK for the past decade through Thermal Technology (Sales) Limited. Now a new company, Weger Air Solutions UK, has acquired the assets of Thermal Technology (Sales) Limited and is planning to increase sales.
Weger is a family-owned firm and has been manufacturing air handling units for 36 years. It has three manufacturing bases, one in the South Tyrol, one in Hungary and one near Munich, Germany. It also sells units into North America and Brazil. It employs around 300 people and has a turnover of around £42m.
It currently has several thousand units installed in the UK across a range of sectors, from houses to hospitals and from universities to oil rigs.
A new office has been set up and the company says that the transition between the two firms will be seamless.
The company has also launched two new ranges to the market - Diamant and Mundaria, in addition to the existing Weger Standard Diwer and Economic ranges of air handling units.
