THE 1st IIR conference on Sustainability and the Cold Chain (March 29-31) is fast approaching.
The International Institute of Refrigeration's (IIR) conference promises to attract a worldwide audience of researchers, acr professionals and end users to the Cambridge-based event to hear about new developments in technology.
Focussed on sustainability, the event is hosted in association with SIRAC (Sustainability in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning network).
The conference programme includes nearly 90 papers presented over two days.
A pre-registration reception will be held the evening before on March 29. A conference dinner takes place on day one (March 30) and technical site visits and short courses take place on day two (March 31).
The short course topics offered at the conference are: Mathematical modelling, temperature control methods, energy and the cold chain, energy and sustainability in manufacturing and a review of alternative technologies.
Technical tours include a cold store, retail environment, a transport equipment manufacturer and a testing facility.
