UK company trains Italian F-gas engineers
[firstParagraph]
THE UK training provider Business Edge is helping Italian engineers achieve F-gas certification. Twenty seven Italian engineers have already passed the assessments by the Hampshire-based company in a deal signed with Italian training company Centro Studi Galileo.
UK engineers have been criticised by some sectors of the industry for their perceived reluctance to ensure they are F-gas certified by July 4th, but in Italy the obligatory certification has not yet even been implemented by the government.
Italy is one of five countries, along with Latvia, Romania, Greece and Malta, without certification, and has been under pressure to launch the F-Gas regulation but has not met the deadline imposed by the EU. As a result, Italian refrigeration engineers are currently not allowed to work abroad.
In order to address the situation, Italian training company Centro Studi Galileo signed an agreement with Business Edge who carried out the necessary certification on behalf of an Italian company keen to certify its technicians prior to the Italian legislation being put in place.
