THE managing director of the UK arm of air conditioning manufacturer Toshiba Carrier, Gboyega 'Femi' Obafemi, has left the company to join Johnson Controls as executive director/VP for hvac and controls products for Europe.
Femi, a Nigerian-born chartered engineer, was appointed by Carrier in 2007. He previously worked for a number of well-known multi-national businesses including Philips, Siemens lighting subsidiary Sylvania and GE, where he was general manager, sales and marketing.
In his new role he will be based in the Johnson Controls office in Slough.
