TNG shortlisted for award

TNG Consulting Engineers, formerly Henderson Green, is celebrating a successful September after being shortlisted in the Solent Business Awards and welcoming two new employees.

TNG is one of six finalists in the Management Team of the Year category thanks to its consistently strong leadership and a senior management team which has driven the mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy forward; most recently with the brand relaunch.

The awards ceremony takes place next month and TNG's Management Team will attend the award gala along with some of its rising employees.

Managing director Russ Pitman said, 'We're delighted to have been selected as a finalist in this highly competitive and prestigious category. It's particularly encouraging as our award entry focused on building strong client relationships, our training academy and succession planning - all of which have really come to the fore this autumn.

'Whatever the outcome on the night, being shortlisted is reward enough. It reassures us that our intentions are valued and our business strategy is focused in the right direction. This nomination is not just recognising the management team, but the TNG ethos as a whole.'

Separately, the consultancy has recently expanded with the arrival of new Training Academy members Sasha Neate and Robert Motson.

Sasha has just left school with 11 GCSEs, has joined the Academy as a mechanical junior engineer. Robert has had a change in career path and is working towards becoming an electrical engineer. Both juniors have joined as apprentices and will start a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment and Building Services Engineering on day release at Southampton City College.

TNG's Training Academy is going from strength to strength; the consultancy currently has five junior andiIntermediate engineers studying at college and university and two Academy members developing in the CAD department. In previous years, TNG has supported four other junior engineers, two of which are now degree qualified engineers at TNG.

This autumn also sees the launch of a company-wide communication training workshop, and members of the team have just taken part in a charity five-a-side football tournament - as Team TNG Tigers. The event successfully raised over £1600 for Naomi House and Jacksplace Hospices.
