The IOR signs an MOU with the IIAR

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR). The IOR-IIAR MOU sets the stage for collaboration on advocacy, publications, education, technical activities, and research in areas of common interest, including but not limited to the use of energy-efficient, safe and economically viable technologies that use ammonia and other natural refrigerants.

The MOU establishes the framework for continuous communication, conferences and meetings, and information sharing between our two organisations.

Upon signing the MOU, Mike Creamer FInstR, President of the IOR said: “This new alliance between our organisations is a huge step forward, enabling our UK and US Members to exchange valuable information in relation to system energy efficiency, safety and standards across the arena of ammonia and natural refrigerants. Our cooperation will underpin research, informative documents, technical conferences and other joint activities, all for the benefit of Members, end users and very importantly, our world environment. I fully commend and support this joint initiative and venture.”
