The HVAC & Refrigeration Show is nearly sold out

With less than seven months to go, the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and heat pump sectors is over 70 percent sold.

The HVAC & Refrigeration Show is expected to shape and define the future of the industry, driving efficiency throughout the supply chain and providing a much-needed platform for innovation and debate.

Visitors from a wide range of sectors, including building services, central and local government, retail, leisure, hospitality, transport, manufacturing, healthcare, education, utilities and more will be there to see leading companies exhibiting top brand products and to get advice on affordable and efficient solutions.

In addition to sourcing new products and services, visitors will also have access to a range of new and exciting feature areas.

Taking place in the Training and Skills Theatre, sponsored by Toshiba, the hotly anticipated ‘Industry Insight Series’ of debates on key issues will be presented by a leading panel of guests, from smart cities programmes looking at future designs, to construction companies facing new design challenges and supermarkets highlighting new approaches to chilled food retailing. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask the panel questions and continue their discussions in one of the show’s many networking areas afterwards.

VIP networking lunches and events will also be hosted in the Business Hub over the course of the three-day exhibition.

What’s more, the show will see the launch of the national SkillFRIDGE/WorldSkills UK competition series, also sponsored by Toshiba, with opportunities to visit the competition zone to meet apprentices and judges.

Learning & Development

The Training and Skills Theatre will offer a three-day seminar programme with speakers invited from UK and European associations, together with presentations from WorldSkills UK. The Institute of Refrigeration’s annual conference will also take place in the theatre on the last day of the show.

The HVACR Theatre is new for 2018 and will feature cutting edge talks from a range of manufacturers with a series of case studies presented and problems solved through information sharing and debate over the course of the three days.

Toshiba will give three talks at the show – one on each day. Topics include: approaching a project using VRF systems; application of SEER and SCOP energy efficiencies; and natural and mechanical cooling systems.

Daikin Applied UK is to talk about chiller technology and efficiency, giving attendees an overview of the chiller technology available and covering the key components that go into the manufacture of both air cooled and water cooled chillers. Chiller product manager, James Henley, explained: “We will review the different technologies available for the main components and how these components can affect the chiller footprint, noise levels, cost and, most importantly, the unit efficiency.

“We will also give a detailed explanation of the different types of efficiency measure on the market, covering chiller design conversations such as which unit inclusions should be considered, and complete the chiller review with a discussion on future of refrigerants and new legislation including ECOdesign changes.”

Fujitsu has published its talk titles too: ‘Controls are Key’ and ‘R32: Time to Change’. In the first, visitors will be given an insight into the various ways in which HVAC controls are key for comfort, efficiency and reliability, while in the second, it will look at how R32 has been developed to reduce GWP and improve system efficiency.

Product launches, updates and much more besides…

RABScreen, a provider of external mesh protection screens, also known as air intake screens, is exhibiting for the first time. Managing director, Richard Betts, commented: “We believe that the 2018 HVAC & Refrigeration Show will be the perfect location to showcase the unique RABScreen to the HVAC industry. It will be an opportunity for anyone involved with air movement to see the product we introduced to the market in 2012.”

The company will be exhibiting a number of different products to help save energy, time and money.

Sauermann Group, a leading manufacturer of condensate management solutions and measurement instruments for indoor air quality, has become the first company in condensate management to launch a pump selector app for HVAC installers. With just the simple steps, the ‘Pump Finder App’ gives an accurate pump selection for each individual installation. Complete with links to installation videos and technical product information, the app offers installers solutions wherever they are. See this and other products Sauermann Group at the Show.

Stanley Handling, a supplier of industry leading stair climbers, enjoyed a huge success at The HVAC & Refrigeration Show in 2016 and so the decision to come back was an easy one. Marketing manager Emma Parkins said: “We’re absolutely delighted that we have managed to secure our stand for 2018. We felt our last experience at the show presented the perfect opportunity to not only showcase our products, but also better understand the challenges facing the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.”

The HVAC & Refrigeration Show will also see the HuB App launch from organiser Datateam Business Media, which has been designed to keep industry updated and connected.
