SWEDEN: Swegon AB, the Swedish ventilation manufacturer, has signed an agreement to acquire UK chiller company Coolmation.
Based in Ringwood, Hampshire, Coolmation had a turnover of £8m in 2012. The Coolmation group consists of three business areas including chiller sales, service and rental, and a temporary air conditioning hire company.

'With 30 years of experience Coolmation is established in the UK as a reliable product and service provider of chillers and we see this acquisition as an excellent opportunity to grow in one of our prioritized markets', says Hannu Saastamoinen ceo of Swegon. 'The acquisition will increase our UK market share by providing an additional channel for sales of our Blue Box products,' he added.

Swegon AB is a company in the Latour group, has a turnover of Euro320m and employs 1,350 people.
