Strong performance by Cool-Therm for Transforming Technologies

KEN Strong, the managing director of refrigeration supplier Cool-Therm will be presenting 'Practical applications of turbine compressor technology within air-cooled and water-cooled water chillers' as part of the Transforming Technologies conference on March 3, 2010.
Conference delegates can discuss Strong's presentation with Cool-Therm representatives and talk about the firm's products and services at its exhibition stand at the conference venue at Westminister's Institute of Mechanical Engineers at 1 Birdcage Walk, London.

The chair of the conference is Graeme Fox, the immediate past chairman of HVCA RAC Group and the director of AREA.

Klas Berglöf, managing director of ClimaCheck Sweden AB, will discuss 'Performance inspections for optimisation of existing refrigeration and air-conditioning plant'. Berglöf will present the basis of the ClimaCheck internal method technology and experiences from field testing of systems. Details of the significant energy savings achieved in a variety of applications will also be described.

Mike Creamer, managing director of Business Edge, will discuss 'Practical field performance analysis of acr systems' Mike will describe a variety of applications and how performance analysis has led to the resolution of problems and the substantial improvement of system COP and reliability.

David Williamson, the European director of applications at Turbocor will present 'An overview of oil-free turbine compressor technology

Justin Schofield and Josef Riha from heat exchanger manufacturer H. Gutner (UK) will discuss 'Micro-channel technology'. and the level of performance improvements obtained.

Toby Sgrabi, the CEO of PermaFrost Solutions will discuss 'Enhancement of heat exchanger performance within acr systems via chemically engineered additives' and how they might be easily applied to both new and existing systems.

Nicholas Cox the managing director of Earth Care Products will discuss 'Developments and opportunities in using hydrocarbon refrigerant blends'.

Herman Rentz of Bitzer (UK) will present 'New developments in compressor engineering'. These engineering developments are about to be released to the European and wider AC&R markets and the benefits of their application to a wide range of system types and refrigerants will be presented.

Guy Hundy, technical consultant at Emerson Climate Technologies will present 'Scroll compressor developments for heating applications'. He will talk about a new generation of scroll compressors specifically optimised for heating applications together with the advantages of R410A in relation to refrigerant R407C.

Frank Rinne, technical programmes manager at DuPont Refrigerants will present 'From HCFC's to HFO - Dupont´s solutions for today and tomorrow'.

The early bird cost of delegate places, which includes entrance, lunch and refreshments, is £349+Vat for places booked before January 7, 2010. The normal delegate rate is £399+Vat.
