Some 2078 certificates not valid for F-gas

CITY & Guilds has warned that, depending on when qualification was achieved, some 2078 refrigerant handling certificates are not valid as an interim qualification under the F-gas regulations.

The Government-run F-Gas Support has stressed that the 2078 qualification will not be valid as an interim qualification if achieved after 9 March 2009 (for existing engineers) or after 4 March 2009 for new entrants to the industry.
Achieved 2078s before these dates would be counted as an interim certificate under the legislation.
