Smith Brothers Leicester moves to new premises

Smith Brothers Leicester is relocating after more than 100 years.

Smith Brothers Leicester is relocating after more than 100 years.

However, its head office will remain located at Batten Street until the new premises are complete.

The company’s new address is: 99 Commerical Square, Freeman’s Common Industrial Estate, Leicester LE2 7SR

In 1902, Smith Brothers moved from Saffron Lane to Batten Street, off Aylestone Road (old front, pictured right below) and SBS Leicester has operated from there until now. In 2015, following continued year-on-year growth, the branch decided that a move to larger, more useable premises at Freeman’s Common was needed. The new premises is operational from today (1 February).

A branch launch day is scheduled for March and details will follow once this has been confirmed.
