A customer involved in providing a refurbishment service to a major Civic Centre had a requirement of a temporary cooling system to ensure their server room was maintained during a critical period of downtime, during which their existing system would be overhauled over a period of 4 weeks.
The customer called Cool Energy because they needed to source an independent run and standby system to cope with all eventualities.
Equipment Supplied
A 70kW chiller package - complete with a low noise 50kW Fan Coil offering variable fan speed control, integral pump and tank sets within the chiller packages, 30m x 2' water ring main with insulation and automatic condensate remove system.
Cool Energy Solution
The Cool Energy rental engineer liased with the customer and client and discussed the application, which called for all of the equipment to be sited internally.
The chiller package system was situated away from the point of critical cooling in the main car park adjacent to where the server room was located.
A low noise fan coil was installed into the room to allow for the close control of the temperature onsite. The system was commissioned within 2 days following all safety water leak checks in both areas.
