Search begins for top UK apprentice
[firstParagraph]
UK: The organisers of SkillFRIDGE have begun the search for the UK's best young apprentice refrigeration and air conditioning engineer.
During the competition, organised by SummitSkills, entrants will be judged on a series of challenging practical tests in a bid to be named this year's SkillFRIDGE champion.
Those who make it to the grand final will compete at the prestigious Skills Show at the Birmingham NEC in November, a celebration of skills where over 60 competitions from different vocations run side-by-side, including SkillPLUMB, SkillPIPE and SkillELECTRIC.
'Taking part in SkillFRIDGE is not only highly motivational for employees but also drives them to achieve higher standards back in the workplace,' said Neil Collishaw, head of skills competitions and awards at SummitSkills.
'Past competitors have gone on to become an even greater asset to their employers and a inspirational role model for their peers.'
The closing date to register for the competition is March 22. Call 01908 303972 for more information or visit www.skillfridge.org.uk
