SAS gains more ground in Ireland
[firstParagraph]
SAS INTERNATIONAL is opening new offices and warehouses in Dublin as part of its expansion plans to stock more products for the Irish market.
The chilled ceiling and beam manufacturer's new premises are located at Dublin's Blanchardstown Corporate Park.
'The new offices will enable us to work more closely with architects, quantity surveyors, main contractors and sub-contractors across Ireland; providing technical advice and support where required', said Cathal McGuinness of SAS Ireland.
BSRIA has reported the market for chilled ceilings and beams grew 33% in 2006 with an increase of 40% expected this year.
Further rises in the value of the market are predicted for 2008/9.
Established in 1968, SAS began designing and manufacturing metal ceilings but with growing demand for varied interior solutions, SAS diversified to also offer heating and cooling solutions.
Of the company's three UK manufacturing facilities, it is Bridgend in South Wales that makes heating and cooling elements. Its West Bromwich plant manufactures partitioning and Maybole in Scotland produces architectural metalwork.
The UK-based firm works from concept through to installation with specifiers, contractors, M&E consultants, developers and clients in the Far East, Middle East and Europe.
'The new office will give us the base to service any size of project from supply only, design and supply, through to design, supply and installation - whatever the requirement we can provide the complete solution,' she said.
