Samsung aims to up ac sales this year by 50%

SAMSUNG Electronics aims to reap $2.7 billion (3.1 trillion won) in sales of air conditioners in 2010 - up 50% from last year.
The company plans to become the number one air-conditioning manufacturer by 2012.

Samsung is forecast to achieve 3.1 trillion won in air-conditioning revenue this year, of which $1.7 billion USD (2 trillion won) is expected to be generated from overseas.

Samsung says it will sell 5.5 million units of air conditioners in the global market this year.
