Refrigerant leakage is an ongoing challenge for food retailers. Samon will be there to meet with customers to discuss how the implementation of effective refrigerant gas detection can help mitigate the risks of leaking cooling systems.
Samon will be at EuroShop for the first time in 2023.
“We are excited to talk directly to retailers and to the providers of refrigeration systems to the sector,” said Tom Burniston, marketing director for Samon. “We have brand new products to talk about that can really help our customers to stay safe, protect the environment, and reduce food waste. We’ll be presenting our recently launched Glaciär Midi refrigerant gas detector, and talking about new solutions being developed for integration with refrigerated display cases and other self-contained cooling systems.”
Safety is of paramount importance in the deployment of refrigerant detection solutions because refrigerant gases present risks of asphyxiation, fire and explosion, toxicity, and oxygen displacement.
Refrigerant gas detection can also help mitigate the release of gases with significant global warming potential which are harmful to the environment.
Additionally, the prevention if food spoilage through the failure of cooling systems can be assisted by using refrigerant gas detection as an early warning system, allowing produce to be moved and alerting technicians to the need for system repair.
