Refrigeration turnover up 25% at Capital Cooling
[firstParagraph]
EDINBURGH-based commercial refrigeration specialist Capital Cooling has announced a 25% increase in turnover for the first six months of 2010. The company's January-June 2010 figures show a total turnover of £9m, up from £7.2m in 2009.
Green technology and environmentally friendly refrigeration are said to have been major factors in the progress of the company. Capital Cooling has had 12 products from its Troy integral multideck range tested and approved for the Carbon Trust's Energy Technology List, the only UK refrigeration manufacturer to have a product of this type placed on the list.
'I am extremely happy with the progress we are making in developing more energy efficient models,' said Capital Cooling md Alister McLean. 'These additional products will enhance our already successful brand.
'In addition our national reactive service and maintenance centre continues to flourish and we are on target to attend and complete circa 55,000 calls before year end. With the addition of Capital Coldrooms to our business we are now able to offer an internal resource as a national repair and build service for cold and freezer room structures.'
