Refrigeration operators wanted for Cold Store study

REFRIGERATED warehouse and cold store operators will be sent a free report on the performance of Europe's cold storage industry, if they respond to a sector study by August 29.
The International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) is asking all European public refrigerated warehouse and cold store operators to participate in the first European operational warehouse expenses benchmarking study.

The online benchmark focuses on the expenses of the company such as:
- plant expenses including warehouse staff salaries, security, maintenance and utility costs,
- administrative expenses, IT costs, office supplies and legal/accounting services
- other expenses, management salaries, property taxes and insurance premiums

Respondents to the study, do not need to give actual figures, but instead list the different types of expenses as a percentage of the total operational costs. Responses will be seen only by US accounting firm Linton Shafer Warfield & Garrett.

A free report on the study's findings will be sent to each study participant by September 25, giving them access to the operational costs throughout the European cold storage industry. Operators will then be able to benchmark their company performance against the rest of the industry.

The benchmarking study is available online until the August 29 deadline. To participate clickhere
