USA: Emerson has brought a little colour into the compressor world by turning its Scroll compressor into works of art.
To celebrate the production of its 100,000,000th Copeland Scroll compressor, Emerson encouraged staff at each of its eight manufacturing facilities around the world to come up with a unique design reflecting the plant and local community.
Plant employees and local artists from the US plants in Sidney (Ohio) Lebanon, (Missouri) and Natchitoches (Louisiana) along with those in Suzhou (China), Rayong, (Thailand) Cookstown, (Northern Ireland), Reynosa, (Mexico) and Welkenraedt, (Belgium) designed and painted each compressor. Now you can see the results of their efforts online and vote for your favourite.
Photos and descriptions of the compressors are available on the Copeland Scroll Facebook page. The air conditioning and refrigeration community is invited to vote daily for their favorite compressor on Facebook until September 26. The top three vote-getters will make a donation to a local hvacr training school or programme.
