RDM buys Taiwanese manufacturer
FYC Co Ltd has recently invested in two electronics production machines, a new assembly line and a plastic moulding and enclosure design facility. Following the acquisition, all RDM products and software will be designed and developed in the UK, with manufacture carried out in Taiwan.

Andy Chandler, RDM managing director, said 'The deal secures a high quality, cost-effective manufacturing capability for RDM's expanding range of controls for the future.'

He added 'We have worked closely with the company in the past. We will be co-operating with them on the development of a new generation of controls and related products, that significantly extend our range.'

RDM's Glasgow headquarters site has recently expanded with larger research and development facilities and the installation of two wind turbines to supply more than two-thirds of the firm's power needs.
