Rankine 2020 conference

The IIR Rankine 2020 Conference is calling for paper abstracts to be submitted regarding advances in cooling, heating and power generation, for the unique opportunity to present at the conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

University of Glasgow, previously attended by William Rankine.

The conference brings together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Heat Pumps (RACHP).

Please can authors submit their abstracts by 20 September, these should follow one of the programme themes:

  • Cooling and Heating refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine cycle, including compressors, heat transfer and exchanger, system/cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
  • Power generation using organic fluids, comparing organic Rankine cycle to other power generation applications, expanders, heat transfer and exchangers, system/ cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
  • Working Fluids new fluids, fluid blends, environmental impact, performance analysis and comparisons, (both natural working fluids and fluorine-based refrigerants).

For student researchers there is a prize fund of £1,800 that will be awarded to the best student papers presented. Students also receive a discounted registration fee.
