Panasonic's official offer for Sanyo expected this week

PANASONIC is to make an official offer for Sanyo this week when it receives final overseas clearance.
The EU anti-trust regulators gave the conditional go-ahead for the purchase last month and the US government now looks set to follow suit.

Japan's Kyodo news agency said Panasonic will call a board meeting on Wednesday to set the final timing of the offer.
