Olympic group shows its game and drops name

AFTER 25 years trading under its name, chiller service specialist Olympic Group is ditching its name to avoid confusion and competition with the committee organising London's 2012 olympic games.
The Olympic group has reverted to using its original registered business name of Optimum Maintenance Systems (OMS).

Operating throughout London and the home counties, the firm has dropped its old name and logo.

OMS provides maintenance, repair and refurbishment services to all the industry-recognised manufacturers' equipment. The company is based at Croxley Green, near Rickmansworth and Watford.

London branch manager, Ray Miller said, 'there are a lot of regulations surrounding the use of the name Olympic once a country is hosting the Games and we didn't want to get caught up in all that.

'It is a very good time for a change as our new ownership has brought with it a host of opportunities. We are known for our highly experienced engineers and personal service. The service hasn't changed - only the name!'
