GRAEME Thorn, a prominent figure in the air conditioning industry for many years, passed away last week.
Graeme dedicated 49 years to the air conditioning industry before retiring from Space Air in 2009.

Born in December 1943, Graeme served a five-year apprenticeship with Brightside Heating and Engineering Ltd., where he remained for a total of nine years.

He joined the Wembley based Carrier distributors Weathermaker Equipment in 1979 and became part of Carrier Distribution when Carrier absorbed its distributors in 1985. He subsequently rose from territory sales manager to regional sales manager and then to associate director. In his final years with Carrier Air Conditioning he was associate director with national responsibility for the dealer network and national accounts.

Graeme joined the Guildford based Daikin distributor - Space Airconditioning plc in 2003.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday 23 August, at All Saints Church, Springfield Green, Springfield, Chelmsford CM1 7SJ, at 12.00.
