Number of legionnaires' cases remains static

No new cases of legionnaires' disease in Edinburgh have been reported for the past two consecutive days.
This means the total number of confirmed cases remains at 48 and the total number of suspected cases is 47. The total number of overall cases stands at 95.

Speaking yesterday (27 June) health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: 'I am pleased to see that the number of people affected by legionnaires' has remained static for the second day in a row, and this continues to offer reassurance that the outbreak is under control.

'NHS Lothian are maintaining high quality care for patients who remain unwell and investigations continue to identify and deal with the source of the outbreak.'
