North south divide rules for ac

The north/south divide exists even between firms considering ac installation, according to a recent poll.
Only 29% of firms based in the south of England would consider installing ac to prepare for hotter summers but 36% of firms from the north said they would.

The findings came from a survey conducted last July of 500 UK firms.

The poll also found that three quarters of firms with a turnover of 50,000+ would not install ac to prepare for a summer of heatwaves.
However almost half of firms (41%) with a bigger turnover (more than £1m) said they would install air conditioning.

Out of the smaller firms polled (£50,000+):

54% of firms would rather relax company dress codes.
42% opted for flexible working hours to help staff faced with. commuting in hot weather.
31% would offer dress down Fridays to cope with the heat
29% would choose to install air conditioning.
25% would allow staff to work from home.
