Nominations for the J&E International Gold Medal are now open

Do you know someone whose technical achievements would be worthy of joining a list of prestigious innovators? The IOR is now accepting nominations for the J&E International Gold Medal, an internationally respected award, which recognises the most noteworthy practical contribution to the field of innovation in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump technology.

Previous winners of this prestigious accolade include Gustav Lorentzen, Forbes Pearson, Pega Hrnjak, Eckhard Groll and Mark McLinden. The award, sponsored by J&E Hall International, which includes a prize of £5,000, is open to individuals or teams responsible for recent practical technology advancement in one or more of the following areas:

  • Practical applications of innovative designs
  • RACHP installations, developments, technologies that have made an original contribution to the field
  • Systems that demonstrate substantial potential and evidence that they will be completed successfully
  • Outstanding and significant work in a new or unusual area of design and installation
