New training manager joins Unitherm

Unitherm Heating Systems, a distributor of air source heat pumps and ancillary heating products in the UK and Ireland has appointed Steve Rhodes as the new training manager for the Unitherm Training Centre.

Steve Rhodes.

Mr Rhodes has worked within the renewables industry since 2008 when he worked as a training officer and helped develop and launch the first level 3 national qualification award heat pump course within the UK – and later became training manager. In 2012 he started his own renewables business as a training provider and MCS Consultant before in 2015 working as a project manager for heat pump installations.

“We’re aiming to be a bit different to your run of the mill training set ups,” says Steve Rhodes. “The venue is perfect for this training – starting with free parking and lunch and refreshments included. But more importantly the exam fees are included in the cost of the course – there is no additional payment required, and all learning materials are included in the course fee. We have three fully operational air source heat pumps installed in the centre including a split system, so installers can get to grips with the real thing – not just look at pictures with arrows. It’s hands on training in a dedicated centre that is light and comfortable and air conditioned if required.”

Unitherm Heating Systems will be offering a selection of courses at its Exeter training centre with immediate effect.
