RACES is positioning itself as ‘the new voice’ for hands-on professionals, including installers, service engineers, design and sales engineers, and students. A core mission is to support the sector’s small and micro businesses through the next phase of the refrigerant transition. and its central driving role will be to provide affordable refresher and upskilling training courses necessary to prepare engineers for the broader transition to alternative, lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants.
The organisation has already secured supporters, including the Beijer Ref Academy and the F-Gas Register, and is backed by an advisory board drawn from across the RACHP sector. With membership fees starting at £65 and an up-to-date technical library already in place, the society anticipates becoming a key support structure for engineers navigating a rapidly evolving legislative and technological landscape.
