NEW engineers can learn skills and expertise from Daikin UK which is offering students at the College of North West London its latest equipment, advanced training, awards and job opportunities.
A memorandum of understanding was signed by the managing director of Daikin UK, Shogo Ando, and the principal of the College of North West London ,Vicki Fagg.
The college will soon open a new technology block with a complete floor dedicated to air conditioning and refrigeration. Daikin will provide the college with thirty of the latest heat pump systems that will enable it to offer training on the latest products, which the college could not hope to acquire on its own.
The college will provide exclusivity as part of the agreement and offer initial training and specialist short courses.
There are also plans for the agreement to involve training for heating engineers to service and maintain Daikin's latest energy efficient renewable energy heat pump systems.
Daikin already runs its own training courses, designed for experienced engineers, and this initiative with the college for new engineers now helps to ensure high quality service at all levels of the industry.
'The air conditioning and refrigeration industry continues to evolve with new product innovations and developments - the underlying need to support the market place through the training of new and existing engineers is becoming greater,' said Shogo Ando, managing director of Daikin UK.
