New blade design for Geniox AHU

A brand-new blade design helps Systemair’s latest generation of Geniox air handling unit improve efficiency up to seven percent as well as reducing sound power levels.

Air handling units are constantly evolving. With the new fan blade design, it can offer class-leading air handling units and help further reduce energy consumption.

Systemair's calculations show that the Geniox, with the new blade design, can perform as well as current EC fans but with a lower SFP value. The calculations further showed that the sound power level could be lowered by up to five dB(A).

The fan blade also comes with a new motor that is in the highest energy efficiency class, IE5. This allows the motor to contribute significantly to the improved energy efficiency. In some cases, the fan's higher performance means that a smaller size can be selected.

Both fan and motor are available in several sizes which allows for more flexibility and greater opportunity to meet the demands of each project.

The fan blades are made of a composite material specially developed for this particular fan, making it both durable and light weight.

Alongside this, an app has been developed for the new engine which allows the user to control all three phase motors. This enables faster adjustment, better control and the ability to change the default settings with ease.

Morten Schmelzer, technical marketing director, said: “With the new fan technology, Systemair is activating the future now, not waiting until tomorrow. Not only do we manage to far exceed the expected requirements of the future European Union Ecodesign regulations for fans and ventilation units, but also do we further reduce the already low noise emissions of the Geniox units.”
