NEMEX – the energy think-tank

NEMEX (National Energy Management Exhibition) is now in its 19th year. It takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from May 1-3. More than ever, NEMEX is the event which brings visitors face-to-face with thousands of potential buyers, decision makers and specifiers from the public and private sectors.
NEMEX – the energy think-tank
NEMEX 2007 will give people the opportunity to engage and debate the issues around the key challenges facing the industry from energy efficiency and security of supply, to the increasingly viable choice of renewable technologies and the popularity of micro-generation. The results of this changing policy agenda will also be seen in the innovative products and services launched on the exhibition floor.

Major generators such as Scottish and Southern Energy, Npower, Gazprom and E.ON are signed up to exhibit as are a number of the major industry organisations such as ESTA, CIBSE and the HVCA and the Energy Institute.

From the renewables market Zeta Solar, Wind Direct and Ecoenergy are joined by a host of other organisations keen to demonstrate their latest technologies and applications.

The programme of keynote addresses and masterclasses at Nemex provides a forum to debate and showcase both cutting edge technologies and the latest services while exploring the practical impact and implementation issues of recent legislation and directives.

For those working in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning sector, the HVCA is chairing a debate on the issues affecting the industry in relation to the drive for more sustainable buildings.

Sustainabilitylive!

Building on the success of the 2006 event, Faversham House Group, the event’s organiser, has incorporated NEMEX into Sustainabilitylive! – the UK’s largest forum for excellence and innovation in energy, environment, water and land.

For the first time, NEMEX will run alongside the International Water and Effluent Exhibition (IWEX), the Environmental Technology and Services Exhibition (ET&ES) and the International Clean-Up (ICU) event tackling the issues of contaminated land, remediation and regeneration.

With so much cross-over between these sectors and the roles and responsibilities of people working within them, the combining of the events will help visitors get the most value from their time out of the office.

Register on-line

The event is free to attend and online registration is available at www.nemex-energy.co.uk or call +44 (0)870 443 6089. All those registering in advance will be sent their badge and a pocket guide to the show before the event. They will also benefit from fast-track entrance on the day.

How to get there

The NEC is one of the most accessible venues in the UK with direct access from the M42 motorway which links easily to the M6, M1 and M40.

There is direct covered access from Birmingham International railway station and Birmingham International Airport is located within the NEC complex.

Complimentary buses run to and from the exhibition every few minutes.

For those who want to practice what they preach, visitors are being offered the opportunity to offset their carbon emissions. While offsetting isn’t the answer to climate change, the first step should always be to see how we can avoid and reduce emissions however some emissions can’t be avoided.

That’s where offsetting has a role to play, it’s a way of compensating for the emissions produced with an equivalent carbon saving.

Faversham House Group has teamed up with The Carbon Neutral Company, the world’s leading carbon offset and climate consulting business to help you tackle your carbon footprint.
