Mr Roberts joined the refrigeration industry in 1992 when he supported Peter Dinnage with the introduction of the ISCEON 9 Series range of refrigerants to the UK market. Six years on, the UK operation split off as a joint venture with the Dehon Group and IDS Refrigeration was born. Here Neil continued to work towards global adoption of the ISCEON 9 Series and then went on to work for the Dupont refrigerants business (that later spun off as Chemours) helping to bring the Opteon Low GWP A1 and A2L refrigerants to market.
He will continue to support the UK market in his new role at Climalife assisting the industry through this next phase of transition to very low GWP refrigerants as well as advising on some of the other synergy products in the Climalife range.
“We are very pleased to have Neil join the business at this pivotal moment for our industry as he brings a wealth of knowledge that will be of great assistance in helping our customers and the industry with the changing refrigerant landscape,” said Allan Harper, Climalife UK managing director.
Mr Roberts has joined Climalife at a key moment for the industry, where the established norms of low toxicity and non-flammability will have to be replaced by using low GWP refrigerants which are either toxic, explosive or have a degree of flammability.
