NAPIT urges installers to take advantage of construction growth
[firstParagraph]
Following the latest forecasts from the Construction Products Association indicating an upward trend for the construction industry, NAPIT believes it is the perfect time for installers to consider expansion and use new skills to take advantage of the trend.
According to Construction Products Association forecasts, the construction industry is due to improve its current output by 4.5 per cent by 2015.
These forecasts come after Reed Job Index statistics have been released showing that the construction sector leads the job growth market and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) have made £17 million available for new building projects. This shows a step in the right direction for the construction industry, NAPIT says.
According to the latest NSCC State of Trade Survey , these positive trends are also having an effect on the contracting sector, with 41 per cent of specialist contractors planning business expansion over the next year.
NAPIT ceo, Mike Andrews, said: “The positivity shown through these latest statistics is incredibly encouraging for the industry. Now is the ideal time for installers to look at attracting more business and possibly expand the range of services they offer.”
