AIR CONDITIONING and refrigeration provider Munro Building Services has bought Chelmsford-based M&E firm Mid Essex Electrical Engineers to raise its profile in Essex.
Munro celebrated its 55th birthday with a birthday present to itself in the form of its new acquisition which boasts a firm footing in London and the home counties.

The Cambrige-based firm's latest acquisition will trade as Mid Essex Mechanical and Electrical Services.

Munro's managing director Steve Barry said 'Mid Essex has long excelled in electrical services but the addition of Munro's mechanical expertise will make it a formidable operation and open up new markets in the South of England.

'With John Gray, Munro's commercial director, overseeing the development and integration, the new company will dovetail perfectly into the group.'

Munro Building Service is involved in the design, installation and maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration among its portfolio of m&e services. It has a turnover of £20m.
