Mostra welcomes 156,000 visitors

A total of 156,000 trade visitors from Europe to the Pacific Islands attended this year’s Mostra exhibition in Milan, which ran from 18 to 21 March.

A total of 156,000 trade visitors from Europe to the Pacific Islands attended this year’s Mostra exhibition in Milan, which ran from 18 to 21 March.

The 39th Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) showcased residential and commercial installations, air-conditioning, and renewable energy. There were more than 2,000 exhibitors, 43% of whom were from outside Italy. International visitor numbers increased by 3% compared to the 2012 show.

There has been a notable rise in the number of visitors from the Russian Federation, Turkey and Poland compared to the previous show. Attendance from Germany, France, Spain and the UK also increased in line with the previous exhibition. In addition, there were more visitors this year from strategic markets such as: India, China, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Australia, Baltic States and the countries of former Yugoslavia, along with a growing  number of attendees coming from across the African continent (in particular, Algeria, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Nigeria).

More than 200 conference sessions and workshops also took place during the exhibition.
