Morrisons has seen a 2% fall in overall sales for the third quarter of the year.
In the 13 weeks to 1 November like-for-like sales were down by 2.6%. The company said this was partly as a result of reducing the number of promotional vouchers it offered.
Chief executive David Potts said: 'Our priorities for the rest of the year are unchanged - to stabilise trading, reduce costs and further improve the capability of the leadership team. We are making good progress in many areas and customers are noticing improvements.'
