Mitsubishi win acknowledges content-based approach

Mitsubishi Electric’s blog site, The Hub, received industry recognition by winning the Online Initiative of the Year category at the ACR News Awards.

The Mitsubishi Electric team celebrate their win at the 2018 ACR News Awards.

The website publishes regular comments and articles on issues affecting those involved in energy use in the built environment.

“We’ve designed The Hub to provide informative and interesting content that will help everyone understand why it is so important for all of us to tackle energy use within our buildings,” explained Russell Jones, content and communications manager for the company and editor-in-chief of the website.

“Not only does it aim to help inform the debate about energy use, we also want our customers to be able to use it to help educate their customers about the issues that affect us all.”

The blog site contains informative, topical and entertaining articles from both independent editors and Mitsubishi Electric’s own experts, discussing issues in a practical way that allows visitors to leave with more knowledge on a subject.

Subjects include MEES, the new legislation affecting commercial landlords; R32, the new gas affecting the air conditioning industry; the Renewable Heat Incentive; Indoor Air Quality; and EN378.

Mr Jones added: “Winning this Award helps spread the message that as an industry, we have the technology, the people and the skills to effect positive change on our built environment – and minimise the effect modern life has on the planet.”
