Earlier this week (22nd May) the official opening ceremony took place for the new production line at the Clivet plant in Feltre (Belluno).
Earlier this week (22nd May) the official opening ceremony took place for the new production line at the Clivet plant in Feltre (Belluno).
It was opened by the president of Midea Commercial Eric Tian, the major of Feltre Paolo Perenzin and the president of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti Luca Barbini.
Also in attendance were trade union representatives, the sales network and Clivet production staff and management team, led by the general manager Stefano Bellò and the vice general manager Carl Zhang.
Six months of work and strong cooperation between the Italian and the Chinese team have made the creation of this dedicated production line possible. Aqua, the high efficiency heat pump for hot domestic water production is the latest addition to an already innovative product range. The line has a production capacity of 12,000 units/year for every work shift and will make it possible to provide a ‘just in time’ service to all European and group customers.
Stefano Bellò said: “As we announced on 31st October during the acquisition ceremony, Clivet is becoming the Midea pole of excellence, with new employment and development opportunities for our region.”
Carl Zhang added: “I am very impressed with the speed within which this project has been developed: with Clivet we have found a close team, which is integrating very well within the Midea family.”
Stefano Bellò continued: “The Aqua production line is just one of the many projects for the development of Clivet and its employees. In April we started free Chinese and English courses for all Clivet employees, in 2017 we activated a welfare plan and we are building a new canteen for all employees to enjoy.”
UK general manager Edoardo de Pantz said: “With this and continued investment plans, the systems we can now offer to our UK customers are clearly one of the most advanced and extensive available. The Aqua domestic hot water heat pump, along with the rest of the domestic range, now give our clients the best possible options when specifying the right systems, every time”
