Midea is an Official Partner of Manchester City and on 22nd June, Midea staff and customers enjoyed visiting the Etihad stadium for a ‘Play on the Pitch’ football event.
Before getting down to the serious business of playing football, the customers experienced an immersive tour of the Etihad stadium. Each customer had the opportunity to walk down the famous glass players tunnel and understand how the players prepare for their big matches in the first team warm-up area.
Then it was time for some Midea employees and customers to be put through Manchester City coached training drills, before final team selections were announced, and a 90-minute game commenced. Manchester City legend Paul Dickov arrived as a surprise guest and wore the famous ‘Midea Blue’ as he took to the field in what was an exhilarating game of football. After a hard-fought contest everyone was a winner, the Midea employees and customers enjoyed the experience of being a premier league player, even if it was only for one day!
