MITSUBISHI Heavy Industries is to transfer its commercial packaged air conditioning production to factories in China and Thailand
The company's current hq and manufacturing plant in Kiyosu-city, Japan, will concentrate on the production of larger machines and become its global centre of development and production technologies.
MHI will transfer production of all small-size commercial-use PAC systems to its joint venture company MHI-Mahajak Air Conditioners Co in Bangkok next year, while production of medium-size PAC systems will be transferred to its Chinese factory - a joint venture with Haier - in stages.
