Manufacturing job creation reaches new high
[firstParagraph]
KPMG reports that manufacturing job creation is currently at a high thanks to new orders and an increase in production.
The UK Manufacturing PMI for November rose to 58.4, the highest level since February 2011, according to figures released today by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).
The figures revealed the fastest job creation since May 2011 and showed that production and new order growth is at or near 19-year highs.
UK head of manufacturing at KPMG, Stephen Cooper, said: 'It is encouraging for the UK to see yet another month of growth in manufacturing. This month's increase in new orders and production has linked through in the UK to a growth in job creation which is a great result for the UK as this will reinforce the positive mood.'
He continued: 'We are seeing a general uptick in global markets in Europe, the USA and China. This is all good news and it looks like the light at the end of the tunnel is now becoming a reality.'
