M&S plans to offer heat pumps later this year
[firstParagraph]
MARKS & Spencer is planning to offer UK householders domestic heat pumps later in 2010, as one of several home energy product solutions.
M&S is keen to provide an energy advice service, renewable energy installations and energy efficient heating solutions.
This week the retailer launched its Home Energy Services division which is currently offering householders home insulation only.
'Customers will deal with an M&S advisor that will manage the whole journey from enquiry through to installation', said Stephen Langford, head of M&S Energy.
For the insulation work, M&S has linked up with the Cambourne-based company Enact Energy. It is providing the retailer with a team of advisors. These M&S advisors will act as the facilitator between the customer and the installer.
