Lu-Ve buys AIA from Beijer Group

SWEDISH refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler G & L Beijer has sold AIA, its cooler, condenser and heat exchanger manufacturing business to the Italian Lu-Ve Group. At the same time, G & L Beijer has entered into a global collaboration agreement with Lu-Ve to distribute their products.
G & L Beijer says that the sale of AIA is part of its strategy to consolidate its operation into product distribution. Approximately 50% of AIA's £10m annual sales are made through G & L Beijer's distribution network and the remaining 50% through AIA's own sales organisation.

Lu-Ve is one of Europe's largest manufacturers of heat exchangers. The group boasts sales of approximately £190m and has around 1,250 employees. It sells to 90 countries around the world.

G & L Beijer already distributes Lu-Ve's products in certain markets. This new agreement will strengthen this collaboration, with G & L Beijer saying it will distribute Lu-Ve's commercial refrigeration products on an exclusive and global basis in selected markets.
