IQ REFRIGERATION, the design and project management consultancy specialising in sustainable refrigeration has signed a distribution deal with Italian manufacturer SCM Frigo.
The agreement signed at Chillventa today (October 16) , will see the Sussex-based firm take on SCM Frigo's indoor and outdoor systems.
The deal gives IQ Refrigeration (based in East Grinstead) access to the Italian manufacturer's carbon-dioxide-based refrigeration systems, now in use across mainland Europe.
Ben Brown, IQ Refrigeration's sales and marketing director said news of the deal has already created significant interest in the UK.
He said 'While many of the UK are beginning to develop CO2 systems, SCM Frigo has proven technologythat is now part of mainstream refrigeration in Europe. Why re-invent the wheel?'
IQ Refrigeration's design director Nick Rivers said 'The efficiency of the carbon dioxide plant matches that of today's best HFC technology, with the added benefit of sustainability and long-term viability in the event of changing legislation. It is a highly attractive option.'
