[firstParagraph]
LG ELECTRONICS has announced its intention to significantly increase its air conditioning presence in the UK plans with five new regional offices and a 200% increase in staffing resources.
The new offices are due to open in Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds, with others to follow in Manchester and Glasgow. Each centre will be staffed by hvac professionals including sales and account managers, specifying engineers, field services engineers and administrative support personnel. LG is said to be recruiting now for these and other appointments, including management positions.
A number of new high profile appointments will include operations managers, corporate sales, distribution managers together with sales and marketing specialists, all representing a broad range of industry skills.
The plans, announced today by LG air conditioning general manager, Paul Hopkins, form part of the electronics giant's long-term commitment to the European air conditioning market and the wider energy solutions business, including heat pumps, heat exchangers and photovoltaic cells.
'The UK energy solutions market is experiencing changing times and with it, a demand for more choice beyond established brands and solutions,' said, LG Air Conditioning general manager Paul Hopkins. 'Those demands include the need for advice, training and technical support that will help the industry to answer the economic and regulatory challenges it faces in today's market.'
