LG and Toshiba join domestic heat pump market

LG AND Toshiba have joined the UK domestic heat pump market by launching their own solutions into the growing sector.
LG has announced the launch of its air to water heat pump Therma V, which will be available in the UK from spring 2010. The company says the new heat pump reduces CO2 emissions by 90%.

'We believe air to water heat pumps could turn the UK domestic and commercial heating markets on their head and we are confident that the anticipation for this product will translate into healthy sales,' says Paul Hopkins, general manager, LG Air Conditioning (UK)'.

LG's product joins Toshiba Carrier UK's ESTIA air to water heat pump (COP 4.66) and the XP heat pump being launched by the end of January.
