Heléne Mellquist, incoming Chairwoman of the Swegon Board, said the decision brings both continuity and confidence to the organisation.

Karlsson said she looks forward to leading the company through its next phase of development.

Karlsson brings extensive experience from international industrial businesses. She has led Swegon’s Business Area Air Handling, Cooling & Heating, and previously served as CEO of Armatec. Before joining Swegon in 2022, she spent 25 years at SKF in senior roles spanning manufacturing, product development and business development. She has also served as a Board member at Assa Abloy, part of Investment AB Latour’s portfolio.
Karlsson will continue as Vice President of Business Area Air Handling, Cooling & Heating until a successor is appointed.
