Johnson Controls expands refrigeration operations

JOHNSON Controls has joined forces with West-Sussex-based contractor Danston Technical Services in an expansion of its UK Industrial Refrigeration Division.
The move is seen by Johnson Controls as a way of increasing its service delivery capabilities in the southwest, drawing on the experience of Danston's owner, Craig Girdlestone, and his engineering team in providing refrigeration, electrical and mechanical services to the industrial and food industries.

'I wanted to grow my business with the backing of a global leader in industrial refrigeration,' said Girdlestone. 'The Johnson Controls team shares and supports our approach to providing differentiated, customer-focused services through local teams, but with the backup of a global team of refrigeration experts.'

'We wanted to expand our service delivery capabilities in the southwest of England and the addition of the Danston team provides the ideal foundation,' added Peter Hamilton, branch manager for Johnson Controls' UK Industrial Refrigeration Division.
