J S Wright has secured a contract worth more than £4m to fit out a major new affordable homes scheme in West London.
It will equip 195 houses and apartments at the former Reynard Mills Trading Estate in Windmill Road, Brentford for developer Hill.
The company has been chosen by Hill as lead coordinator for the mechanical and plumbing services for the scheme, which is being built on the site of an industrial yard that used to hold the BBC’s archives.
Underfloor heating, low pressure hot water heating and heat recovery ventilation for all 123 affordable apartments managed by Notting Hill Housing will be provided by the company, which will also install a heat interface unit with pre-payment metering in each apartment to deliver boosted domestic water services, along with sanitary ware and soil and waste services.
In addition, the company will install dry risers within each of the five-storey apartment blocks, as well as building controls, as part of the specialist mechanical package when it starts work on site in December 2016.
J S Wright is already working with Hill on contracts to design and install mechanical services for 441 new apartments in Alperton, and 161 retirement flats in Muswell Hill, both for completion in 2017.
Marcus Aniol, Managing Director of J S Wright, said: “We are looking forward to our key role in bringing many more new homes to another part of London for a major developer with whom we have built a highly successful working relationship.”
